Those of you who knew Rev. Max Lafser when he served as Senior Minister at Unity Center of Walnut Creek know he is an
excellent and inspiring teacher. We have asked Rev. Max to launch our Season for Nonviolence with his very special expertise
in the field of nonviolence and conflict resolution.
Max with his wife, Rama Vernon, have taught conflict resolution internationally. Through their Center for International
Dialogue they have been at the forefront of transnational efforts to bring together nations and cultures in conflict. They
have personally worked with the leaders of many nations. Their work has had significant impacts in the United States/Soviet
Union conflict and with the lessening of hostilities in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
Friday, Feb. 1, 7-9:30 p.m.
On Friday evening you will get to spend some time in questions and discussions on this powerful topic as the process
of collecting your own sacred stories and insights begins.
Saturday, Feb. 2, 9:00-5:00 p.m.
On Saturday you will get to learn some of the tools that Rev. Max has used in creating understanding and connection where
conflict exists. Many of these techniques are based upon ancient spiritual teachings that have powerful applications in our
modern world. As a part of this exploration you will get to participate in the creation of harmonizing, integrating elements
for your own spiritual experience.
This is an opportunity to grasp the incredible dignity of being fully human and to live more
deeply, richly and completely than any of us have yet been able to do. This workshop is an invitation to enter into a more
profound realization of your oneness with all creation and to become a conscious instrument of that oneness.
