Life in the 21st century provides us with unprecedented opportunities. We will live longer,
healthier, and with greater possibilities than ever before. As we do, however, we are engaged in an uncharted pattern for
the flow of life.
The paradigm of previous generations was simple. It was all about “making
a living”: grow to adulthood; do your life’s work (whether in a career or as a homemaker) until retirement at
age 60 to 65; and, then lead a well-earned, well-deserved sedentary life during the short waning years thereafter.
Today the promise of longer-term vitality gives us a chance for a rebirth during life’s second
half, an opportunity to “make a life” rather than just a living. Whether through employment, volunteerism, or
well-planned avocations, an inspired and thoughtful approach to our later years gives us a chance for greater fulfillment,
satisfaction, accomplishment and contribution.
In this workshop, we will explore our attitudes
toward aging, develop a new view of the flow of life, identify our heart’s desires and learn how to refocus our minds
if doubts set in. Whatever your age, please join us in this wonderful opportunity to learn how to reorient YOUR thoughts and
concepts of what a “Life Well-Lived” means to you. As you do, you can truly “Make the Rest the Best”!
