Unity’s 2020 Vision project brings you Destiny Day!

of members of our community... After a day and a half where over eighty people selected
the top four areas of Unity of Walnut Creek to take forward to a new level, and... After
months of research and creative planning by our self selected teams, we are ready to invite our entire Unity community
to gather to hear the vision and plans to bring forth the Divine Destiny of Unity of Walnut Creek.
You are invited to join with the members of our community to hear the exciting ideas and plans from our teams and
enter into the vision that Spirit is bringing forth to guide our future. On
Saturday, April 16, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, our teams will share their inspired visions. They will show us
the amazing transformative possibilities for our community. Check out their inspiring reports! It will be exciting. It will be fun. It will be a great time to make new friends in our community; and it
will be an in-depth experience of the power of united hearts and minds to create an inspired destiny. Become a part of this

& 11:30am services, Sun., April 17 Larry Wynn is with us to facilitate our 2020 Destiny Day
on Saturday, April 16 and will be sharing with all of us at our Sunday services. Rev. Larry R. Wynn is an organizational and leadership consultant who has worked with more than 50 churches,
religious organizations and nonprofits helping them envision and design their future. Larry has a Doctorate of Ministry degree
and three masters; is a Licensed Unity Teacher and an Ordained Minister. Larry merges spiritual principles and cutting edge
technologies like Appreciative Inquiry, Nonviolent Communication, HeartMath and Radical Forgiveness into his work. Rev. David
appreciated Larry’s empowering leadership when he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Unity Village. Larry has
been guiding our 2020 Vision Team as they lead us on this exciting journey for our Center.

2020 Vision Update, Dec. 2010 After 200 interviews, 70 members of our community met for a day and a half at
the 2020 Vision Summit on October 29-30, and chose the following four themes to focus on in the coming years: After a full day of training and skill-building exercises on December 3, Design
Team members are now ready to start creating dynamic plans to enhance each one of the four themes chosen.

community in which we all dream and create together.
You are invited
to join in a transformative experience of creative power where our hundreds of spiritual interviews of the past month guide
our spiritual community in discovering the dream that Spirit is calling our Center to fulfill—a dream that will change
our lives, and through us, change the world. What is Spirit calling us
to be? Come not only to discover the answer, but also to create it through Spirit expressing through you. Bring your wisdom
and attunement to embrace the dream and set the priorities that will focus the spiritual power that flows through our community
for years to come. It has been more than ten years since our spiritual community
gathered to chart our future and focus the powerful spiritual energy that flows through our combined intention and attunement.
Spirit is calling us to a new level of service to those who are a part of our community, to those who will be joining us,
and to a world in need of our transformative spiritual power. What is that work to be? What are the priorities that focus
the flow of spiritual energy through us? These are understandings we will discover together at the 2020 Vision Summit. One of the most special gifts of your joining in this gathering is the chance to experience your Unity
family in-depth. We will all be working together, creating joyously and having fun as we share and envision our future. This
experience not only creates our direction, it also creates the heart to heart connections that become lasting friendships
and spiritual support for each of us in our spiritual journey.

invite you to participate in a special day of training on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

As
we envision the future of Unity of Walnut Creek, we know that in our renewed center we will radiate an even greater light
in the world as we move toward 2020. To be clear about what Spirit is calling us to be, we are keenly aware
that we need to listen not only to Spirit, but to what Spirit is revealing through you. So, we ask you
to unite with us to discover our vision and co-create our destiny. To accomplish this, we will enter into “Sacred Conversations” to ask
important questions of our community.
We invite you to
consider joining the 2020 Vision team as an Interviewer. To be an Interviewer, we invite you to participate in a special day
of training on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Once trained, you will meet with, and ask scripted
questions of several people in our congregation. These questions are designed to learn what about Unity
most brings us joy, peace, empowerment and a sense of fulfillment. At the training, Interviewers will also
provide their answers to the questions. In deciding whether to participate, step into your heart-space and be sure to
check in with your internal guidance, as well as your calendar. If you would like to participate,

2020 Vision
Our
Time is Now!
We are nearing completion of our building project that started as a collective
vision and was held by this community for transformation of our spiritual home. The vision from Spirit was not just
for the renewal of our facilities. It was to call forth the compelling energy, truth, understanding, love, peace and power
that flow through us when we come together in the name of Spirit. It is now time to turn our
attention and intention toward our future. As we enter this new phase, renewed and filled with Spirit’s energy of transformation,
it is time to express the power that is God’s vision within us, for us and for the world. It is time to ‘be
the divine expression’ that Spirit is calling us to be.
We invite
you to join us as we embark on our next 10 year journey forward.
This journey to 2020, with 20-20 vision,
will honor and invite the transformative power of Spirit to flow through us. As it does, we will focus on positively appreciating
the best of this dynamic center of consciousness and Spirit, known as Unity of Walnut Creek. We will engage in a strategic process that was born from positive psychology and is called Appreciative
Inquiry. Simply stated, by asking, appreciating and affirming what we do best, we can discover
the dream that Spirit has placed in our hearts.

What is special to you about Unity of Walnut Creek? What do you feel our Unity does best?

Q. Will we really interview everyone? A. Yes! In September we will train individuals to conduct interviews. Interviews
will be held through October. Q. What happens after the interviews? A. We’ll launch into an action phase that will begin with a special event
for the entire congregation in October.
This October Summit marks a special time when we will: • choose our priorities, • make the commitment to follow-through, • define the steps to take, • identify the teams who will be responsible, and • move with Spirit to manifest our dreams.
