Experience the Heart's Power
I remember my first experience of receiving spiritual support in a small group. I heard a lecture on meditation when
I was in law school and wanted to learn more. That group provided a rich, wonderful experience that truly supported my spiritual
growth and blessed every area of my life through both joyous and difficult times.
When I entered ministerial school, I joined several students who decided to form a Master Mind group. We laughed together
and cried together. We watched the power of our prayers help each of us to grow and unfold our lives and our spiritual leadership.
Many of those people are still close friends over twenty-five years later.
In our Center, we have had the wonderful experience of our POD (Practicing Our Divinity) groups. Several of those groups
are still meeting and the spiritual strength of the bonds they share is inspirational.
As I began to understand more deeply the spiritual significance of the heart, I asked the Institute of HeartMath® to
prepare group study materials for the church I was ministering to in Spokane, Washington. I realized that the study of the
heart was tremendously important and small groups were the best way to learn to live from the heart. Later, as a director
at HeartMath, I started many heart study groups around the country.
Because of the powerful experience of the people in our POD groups, and from my own experience, I wanted to open an opportunity
for all of us to pursue the unique and powerful dynamic of a spiritual study group. I invite you to join one of our new Heart
Study Groups. Over a six week period the groups will be exploring the heart’s power and intelligence, and experiencing
it at the same time. Strengthened by the power of prayer, we will be opening ourselves for Spirit to enter our lives in new
ways that bring new friends and take each of us to a greater level of God’s goodness.
