The Unity Earthcare Program
is an exciting new initiative launched out of our 2020 Vision process and approved and adopted by our Board. Designed
by Unity Worldwide Ministries, the EarthCare Program is a comprehensive approach to earth-oriented spirituality which
has both consciousness-raising and action oriented elements.
A key activity of our EarthCare Program is a watershed
restoration project in Martinez. We join a small group of
local residents who meet at Strenzel Meadow, usually on 1st and 3rd Saturdays
from 9 to 11 a.m., to help restore the natural habitat with native plants and improve the watershed drainage into
Alhambra Creek.
It is light work and a lovely way
to start your Saturday. Multiple benefits include helping to heal our beautiful earth that we all love and
depend on; opportunity to have fun and get to know each other better and create more "community connection";
be more visible in the local community and meet some of our Martinez neighbors.
