Rob’s quest for spiritual growth began in the 1960’s when he was studying the World Religions and Eastern philosophy.  Sparked by what some spiritual teachers call “bright faith”, he left his Bay Area home in 1972 to join in the establishment of an Intentional Spiritual Community in rural, middle, Tennessee, known as “The Farm”.

During that time, he maintained his commitment to conscious living and learned the necessary skills of carpentry, HVAC, and offset printing to help forward the common purpose of the community.  As production manager of the book publishing company, Rob oversaw the Farm’s launching of such works as The Farm Vegetarian Cookbook, This Season’s People, and Spiritual Midwifery.

After twelve years in Spiritual Community, Rob and his family returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, settling in the town of Pleasant Hill.  He lived in Pleasant Hill for some time before he was introduced to New Thought and Unity Center of Walnut Creek.  After attending for several years he joined and became active in the Unity community.

In the fall of 1995, the circle was unbroken when Rob was invited to attend a Traditional Native Ceremony.  For Rob, Ceremony catalyzed his discovery of active prayer and marked an end of a long journey and the beginning of a relationship with his heart.  Today he continues to attend ceremony and it remains a cornerstone of his approach to life and of his work as a Life Coach.

Through Rob’s network of friends and associates his creative opportunities continued to grow. A highlight experience occurred in 1999 when he traveled to the Third Parliament of World Religions in Cape Town, South Africa assisting in the production of the historic documentary, A Seat at the Table. The film featured a discussion among North American Tribal Leaders moderated by Huston Smith, renowned historian of the World Religions and subsequent featured speaker at Unity Center of Walnut Creek.

In 2001 Rob was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees. During that time he served two years as Treasurer eventually becoming President in his final year on the Board.  Recently he served on the Capital Development Team and now as a founding partner in New Thought Life Coaching Center.

Rob is a certified graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in San Rafael, CA.  He has been coaching clients nationwide for the past six years.  He is a member and holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and completed the Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) program.

As a coach, Rob works with individuals, couples, teams and businesses. He offers an array of tools, teachings and experience to navigate the process of personal and professional transformation with heart, humor and spirit.
